• Tractor-trailer rolls through fence, nearly strikes 3-story apartment building in Rockville (wtop.com) — A Safeway tractor-trailer rolled down a hill Friday night on Baltimore Road in Rockville, crashing through a fence and stopping just short of a three-story apartment building. More than 60 gallons of diesel spilled from ruptured tanks, bringing hazmat crews and state environmental officials to contain the fuel and address any environmental risks while investigators determine what caused the truck to move.
   

• Five Upcoming Restaurants Creating the Most Buzz in Montgomery County (mocoshow.com) — A sizable new restaurant, Fork & Kitchen, is slated to open in early 2026 at 150 Gibbs St. in The Square, the former Rockville Town Square, filling the longtime Bar Louie space. The 6,500-square-foot spot is one of several much-discussed restaurant debuts around Montgomery County, alongside new arrivals in Olney, Gaithersburg, Germantown, and Silver Spring.
