Boy Arrested For Telephone Threat To Rockville Middle School
An 11-year-old boy was arrested for making a telephone threat against Parkland Middle School Friday afternoon, police said.

ROCKVILLE, MD — An 11-year-old boy was arrested for making a telephone threat against Parkland Middle School for Aerospace Technology Friday afternoon, police said.
"A school faculty member reported to police that the suspect had called the school and made a general threat against Parkland Middle School students," a Montgomery County Police statement said.
Officers responded to the Rockville school at 4610 West Frankfort Dr. at about 12:34 p.m. Friday.

Detectives determined an 11-year-old boy, who is not a Parkland student, made the treat.
Police charged the suspect with one count of disrupting school activities and one count of making a threat of mass violence.

The boy was returned to the care and custody of his parents after he was charged.
This case has been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services for adjudication, police said.
