As of 7:26 a.m., a crash is blocking the center lane of northbound MD-650/New Hampshire Avenue before I-495/Capital Beltway, according to WTOP Traffic. [Adelphi, MD]
As of 7:14 a.m., the northbound-left shoulder and left traffic lane of I-95 North past the exit for MD-24/Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway are closed, according to MDOT. [Abington, MD]
As of 7:13 a.m., the northbound-right shoulder and right-traffic lane on I-95 North past the exit for MD-43/White Marsh boulevard are closed, according to MDOT. [White Marsh, MD]
As of 7:03 a.m., both southbound-traffic lanes and shoulder are closed on MD-70 South between Calvert Street and College Avenue, according to MDOT. [Annapolis, MD]
As of 7:02 a.m., a collision was reported on I-70 East at Ridge Road, according to MDOT. [Gambrill State Park, MD]
As of 7:02 a.m., the northbound-shoulder and both traffic lanes of MD-151 North between Sparrows Point Boulevard and Wharf Road are closed, according to MDOT. [Sparrows Point, MD]
As of 6:58 a.m., a crash was reported on MD-180 South at Mountain Road South, according to MDOT. [Knoxville, MD]
As of 6:57 a.m., the southbound-right shoulder of US-15 South at the exit for southbound 7th Street is closed due to a collision. [Applegate, MD]
As of 6:56 a.m., the westbound-right shoulder of MD-140 West is closed between Reese Road and Old Baltimore Road, according to MDOT. [Carrollton, MD]
As of 6:50 a.m., a crash was impacting traffic in both directions on Connecticut Avenue at Plyers Mill Road, according to WTOP Traffic. [North Kensington, MD]
As of 6:32 a.m., the right lane of westbound Maine Avenue, Southwest was closed due to a disabled truck, according to WTOP Traffic. [Washington, DC]
As of 6:22 a.m., the left lane of inbound Canal Road, Northwest after Foxhall Road, Northwest was blocked due to a disabled vehicle, according to WTOP Traffic. [Washington, DC]
As of 5:11 a.m., the intersection of Eastern and Kenilworth Avenues, Northeast is closed due to a vehicle crash, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. [Washington, DC]
Ongoing Closures:
Both southbound-traffic lanes on US-1/Alternate South at Selma Avenue are closed due to a utility problem, according to MDOT. [Halethorpe, MD]
Both southbound shoulder of I-395 from Conway Street to Fort McHenry are closed, according to MDOT. [Baltimore, MD]
The northbound shoulder and two right traffic lanes of MD-173 North between Cabot Drive and Marley Neck Boulevard are closed due to utility work, according to MDOT. [Fort Armistead, MD]
Westbound-right off-ramp from MD-725 West at John Rogers Boulevard is closed due to roadwork, according to MDOT. [Upper Marlboro, MD]
The northbound-left shoulder of I-95 North is closed from Weigh Station Access Road to Cherry Hill Road, according to MDOT. [Adelphi, MD]
Eastbound shoulder, traffic lane and center turn lane of MD-648 East between Kuethe Road and Governor Ritchie Highway are closed due to a utility problem, according to MDOT. [Glen Burnie, MD]
Mass Transit
In observance of Columbus Day and Indigenous People's Day, Metrorail will operate on normal weekday service on Monday, but Metrobus will operate on a Saturday supplemental schedule, according to Metro. Weekday off-peak fares will be in effect all day and parking will be free at all Metro owned parking facilities and garages. [Washington, DC]
Due to police activity on Eastern Avenue, Northeast at Minnesota Avenue, buses are experiencing delays in both directions on the following Metrobus routes: U7, V-14, and W4, according to Metro. [Washington, DC]
Light RailLink is experiencing service delays of up to one hour, according to MDOT. [Baltimore, MD]
MARC Train will operate the R schedule on all three lines on Monday, in observation of Columbus Day. Only trains with an R under the train number in the Camden and Penn Line timetables and in the R schedule grid on the right side of the Brunswick Line timetable will operate, according to MDOT. Affected routes include Brunswick-Washington, Penn-Washington, and Camden-Washington. [Washington, DC]
The following Commuter Bus routes will not operate on Monday in observance of Columbus Day: 201*, 203, 204, 210, 215, 220, 230, 240, 250, 260, 305, 310, 315, 320, 325, 335, 345, 410, 411, 420, 505, 515, 610, 620, 630, 640, 650, 705, 715, 725, 735, 810, 830, 840, and 850. *Route 201 will operate on the weekend/holiday schedule, according to MDOT. DC Weather
Sunny skies are expected over the Baltimore-Washington region on Monday, with a high of 68 and a low of 42, according to National Weather Service.
The temperature around 6:50 a.m. in Rockville was 39 degrees under sunny skies, according to the AccuWeather forecast.
