Casual Seafood Restaurant 'Slapfish' To Open In Rockville
The popular California-based, fast casual seafood franchise Slapfish is opening its first Maryland location in Rockville this July.

ROCKVILLE, MD — The popular California-based, fast casual seafood franchise Slapfish is opening its 13th location in Montrose Crossing in Rockville this July.
The chain serves lunch and dinner, with unique dishes like Chowder Fries, Lobster Grinders and the famed Clobster Grilled Cheese, according to a press release on Franchising.com.
Other popular dishes include fish tacos, a shrimp roll and lobster taquitos.

“Maryland offers the perfect coastal location for Slapfish,” CEO and founder, Chef Andrew Gruel, said in a statement. “With close proximity to our nation’s capital and access to some of the best seafood available, Slapfish Rockville will bring East Coast flair to our uniquely branded concept.”
Slapfish started in a food truck in Huntington Beach in 2011. This is the chain's first Maryland location.

The restaurant will open in July at 12055 Rockville Pike.
