Catherine Hoggle Case Featured On Shawndrea Thomas' True Crime Podcast
A true crime podcaster interviewed the father of the two Montgomery County children who went missing in 2014.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A true crime podcaster spoke to the father of Sarah and Jacob Hoggle, the children from Montgomery County who went missing in 2014 and haven't been seen since.
Their mother, Catherine Hoggle, was accused of killing them, and is currently being held in a state psychiatric center, where she has been since she was charged. Authorities say that Hoggle was the last person to see her children alive.
"I feel like everyone who is supposed to protect my kids and other people's kids, to protect victims in general — they're failing," said Troy Turner, the father of Sarah and Jacob, in the podcast.

Thomas says she talks about "curious cases, disappearances, and other stuff" on her podcast titled "Intrigued Full Effect." She interviewed Turner about the current status of the case and what he thinks will happen next.
Turner told Thomas that very little has changed over the last several years throughout the investigation.

"We still don't know where my kids are," said Turner on the podcast. "We still don't have them home in any way, shape or form."
Thomas asked about the private investigator Turner hired to look into the case. Turner said though they've chased down leads, most of them were dead ends. He spoke about one reported sighting of his children in a Lowe's in Frederick back when they went missing, but the kids in the video footage appeared to be 10 and 12 instead of 2 or 3, as Jacob and Sarah were at the time.
"Sometimes people want to help so badly they see things that aren't really there," he said.
Hoggle was again determined in April to be unfit to stand trial again, which has stayed consistent throughout her time in state custody. Her lawyer recently requested a hearing to determine her "restorability," meaning her ability to ever stand trial. Hoggle has a history of schizophrenia, according to the court.
