County Records 400 New Coronavirus Cases; Deaths Total 1,235
Montgomery County added 400 new coronavirus cases and four new deaths on Monday, Jan. 25.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Confirmed coronavirus cases in Montgomery County climbed by 400 on Monday, while the fatality count grew by four.
The latest data released by the Maryland Department of Health pushes the county's overall totals to 57,129 infections and 1,235 deaths.
The latest fatality count does not include the 44 others whose deaths were linked to the virus but never confirmed by a lab test. For now, they are considered "probable deaths."

Montgomery County continues to have the highest number of deaths in the state. It also has the second-highest number of confirmed cases, after Prince George's County, which has 65,865, according to the latest figures.
Across Maryland, there have been 343,138 coronavirus cases, 6,726 confirmed deaths, and 174 "probable deaths." Of the 1,669 patients being hospitalized for the disease statewide, 395 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
