Delays On Metro's Red Line; Crash On MD-295 North: Traffic In MD, DC

On The Road

As of 7:18 a.m., a crash was reported on southbound MD-202/Landover Road after MD-295/Baltimore-Washington Parkway, according to WTOP Traffic. [Cheverly, MD]

As of 7:08 a.m., the northbound-left shoulder of MD-295 North past MD-100 is closed due to a three-vehicle collision, according to MDOT. [Hanover, MD]

As of 7:07 a.m., the westbound-right traffic lane and right shoulder, as well as the eastbound-right shoulder and traffic lane of MD-501 are closed from Sargent Road to 15th Avenue, according to MDOT. [Hyattsville, MD]

As of 7:05 a.m., both southbound lanes and the shoulder of MD-70 are closed between Calvert Street and College Avenue, according to MDOT. [Annapolis, MD]

As of 7:05 a.m., the eastbound-shoulder and traffic lane of MD-7 between Alley A and Ikea Way are closed, according to MDOT. [Perryville, MD]

As of 6:54 a.m., the northbound-left shoulder and traffic lane on I-95 North past the exit for MD-24/Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway are closed, according to MDOT. [Abington, MD]

As of 6:50 a.m., the left shoulder and traffic lane of the Outer Loop of the Baltimore Beltway/I-695 past the exit for I-70 are closed due to a collision, according tom MDOT. [Woodlawn, MD]

As of 6:12 a.m., a crash involving one vehicle was reported on MD-75 north of Ed McClain Road, according to MDOT. [Monrovia, MD]

As of 5:48 a.m., the northbound-left shoulder of I-95 North is closed at Brooklyn Bridge Road due to a collision, according to MDOT. [Laurel, MD]

Ongoing Closures:

Westbound-right off-ramp from MD-725 West at John Rogers Boulevard is closed due to roadwork, according to MDOT. [Upper Marlboro, MD]

The northbound-left shoulder of I-95 North is closed from Weigh Station Access Road to Cherry Hill Road, according to MDOT. [Adelphi, MD]

Eastbound shoulder, traffic lane and center turn lane of MD-648 East between Kuethe Road and Governor Ritchie Highway are closed due to a utility problem, according to MDOT. [Glen Burnie, MD]

Mass Transit

Expect residual delays on Metro's Red Line to Glenmont due to an earlier train malfunction at Shady Grove, according to Metro. [Rockville, MD]

As of 7:11 a.m., the MARC Brunswick Line Train 878 is currently experiencing a 15-25 minute delay due to CSX freight train interference, according to MDOT. [Washington, DC]

DC Weather

Expect cloudy skies across the Baltimore-Washington region on Wednesday, with a high of 68 degrees and a low of 49, according to the National Weather Service.

Clouds and sunshine are expected over Rockville, MD, on Wednesday, according to the AccuWeather forecast. As of 7:30 a.m., the temperature was 47 degrees under clear skies.
