Ellicott City Woman Dies 2 Months After Being Run Over In Rockville Accident
Montgomery County police have released the name of an Ellicott City woman who died 2 months after she was run over by a truck in Rockville.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County police on Monday released the name of an Ellicott City woman who died two months after she was run over by a truck in Rockville.
The victim — Shanming Wei, 60, of Ellicott City — was hit by a pickup truck in a parking lot in the 500 block of Dover Road in Rockville on April 16, a police news release said. She died from her injures on June 18.
About 12:38 p.m. on April 16, authorities received a report that a white 2020 Ford F150 pickup truck had struck two pedestrians. Police said the driver of the pickup truck was attempting to reverse into a loading bay when they lost control of the vehicle. The truck struck Wei and another woman, who were loading items into the trunk of their vehicle.

Two parked cars were also hit during the incident.
Police said the driver of the F150, whose name has not been released, remained at the scene.

The second female victim was taken to an area hospital with critical, but non-life-threatening injuries. She has not been identified.
The investigation continues into the crash, and detectives ask for anyone who may have seen the collision to call (240) 773-6620.
