Elrich Names Police Accountability Board Members For Council Approval
County Executive Marc Elrich appointed 9 MOCO residents to a police accountability board that will review allegations of misconduct.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — County Executive Marc Elrich appointed nine members to the County’s inaugural Police Accountability Board, which was passed by the County Council in April to review allegations of police misconduct.
Maryland State Law required that every county establishes a police accountability board by July 1.
All members of the board must be MOCO residents. The county said that over 60 people applied for the positions, which pay an annual salary of $10,000, with the exception of the chair, who also serves on the Administrative Charging Committee.
