Montgomery College’s annual Shakespeare festival, Willpower!, returns with National Players’ production of Romeo and Juliet, and a line-up of workshops, guest artists and lecturers. 

When: Monday, April 1-Friday, April 5

Tyke Hikes: Amphibians

Take a mini-nature hike and make a craft to take home. Learn about frogs and toads and hike to see if any are at the pond. For children 2 to 3 years.

When: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 3

VisArts: Hear Arts Spoken Word and Music Series

Glenview Gallery: Mixed Media Exhibit Featured for April

The April exhibit at Glenview Mansion Art Gallery will feature the work of mixed media artist Carol Reed and rock, paper and wire sculptures by Bess Gonglewski.

When: Sunday, April 7, through Tuesday, April 30. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.

  • Opening reception is 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, and will feature music from Beau Soir instrumental trio at 2 p.m.

Where: Glenview Mansion Art Gallery at Rockville's Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Dr.
