Fox 5 Zip Trip Headed To Rockville On July 8

Setup for the live broadcast will begin early that morning. No roads will be closed for the event, Rockville city officials said.

ROCKVILLE, MD — The Fox 5 morning show is bringing its Zip Trip live broadcast to Rockville Town Square next Friday to highlight Montgomery County and Rockville, city officials confirmed.

The roving report from the morning show highlights a different location with a live broadcast each week from areas in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia region.

“The season will bring out our morning show talent to areas across the DMV,” reporter Sierra Fox said in a 2022 Zip Trip preview on the Fox 5 website. “We’ve got some familiar favorite segments, plus new ones up our sleeves. We want to share our excitement and prepare you to join us on Friday morning.”

According to city officials, residents should be aware the setup for the Zip Trip event will begin at 4 a.m., and the live broadcast will take place from 6 a.m.-11 a.m.

Town square will be cleared by noon. No roads will be closed for the event, officials said.
