I-495/Outer Loop Delays Due To Disabled Vehicle: Traffic In MD, DC

On The Road

As of 7:32 a.m., the center lane on the Outer Loop of I-495/Capital Beltway at US-50/John Hanson Highway is blocked due to a disabled vehicle, according to WTOP Traffic. [Landover, MD]

As of 7:18 a.m., southbound-right traffic lane of US-29 was closed from Lanark Way to Franklin Avenue, according to MDOT. [Silver Spring, MD]

As of 7:06 a.m., the northbound-right traffic lane and right shoulder of I-95 North past the exit for MD-152/Mountain Road are closed, according to MDOT. [Clayton, MD]

As of 6:46 a.m., police are conducting a shooting investigation in the 1200 block of Parker Street, Northeast. [Washington, DC]

As of 5:23 a.m., the right traffic lane and shoulder of the Outer Loop of the Baltimore Beltway/I-695 at the exit for MD-10/Arundel Expressway, according to MDOT. [Brooklyn Park, MD]

As of 6:11 a.m., the eastbound-right traffic lane of MD-193/Greenbelt Road is closed due to utility work caused by an earlier crash, according to WTOP Traffic. [Greenbelt, MD]

Ongoing Closures:

Westbound-right off-ramp from MD-725 West at John Rogers Boulevard is closed due to roadwork, according to MDOT. [Upper Marlboro, MD]

The northbound-left shoulder of I-95 North is closed from Weigh Station Access Road to Cherry Hill Road, according to MDOT. [Adelphi, MD]

Eastbound shoulder, traffic lane and center turn lane of MD-648 East between Kuethe Road and Governor Ritchie Highway are closed due to a utility problem, according to MDOT. [Glen Burnie, MD]

Mass Transit

As of 7:28 a.m., MARC Camden Line Train 849 is experiencing a 15-25 minute delay due to CSX freight train interference, according to MDOT/MTA. [Washington, DC]

DC Weather

As of 7:45 a.m., the skies over the Washington, D.C. region were sunny with a temperature of 53 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Expect to see a hazy sun on Friday, with a high of 80 and a low of 58, according to the AccuWeather forecast.
