Independence Avenue

As of 6:11 a.m., dark traffic lights on Independence Avenue, Southwest are affecting traffic in both directions between 17th Street, Southwest and 23rd Street, Southwest, according to WTOP Traffic. All lanes are blocked. [Washington, DC]

As of 7:21 a.m., a serious crash on Church Road is affecting traffic in both directions betwenn Woodmore Road and Dunwood Valley Drive, according to WTOP Traffic. [Woodmore, MD]

As of 7:11 a.m., a crash was reported on southbound I-395/Southwest Freeway after the 3rd Street Tunnel, according to WTOP Traffic. [Washington, DC]

As of 7: 11 a.m., three southbound-right traffic lanes and the right shoulder of MD-355 South from Grosvenor Lane to Alta Vista Road are closed, according to MDOT. [Bethesda, MD]

As of 7:11 a.m., the southbound-right shoulder and right deceleration lane on MD-190 South from River Road to Ridgefield Road are closed, according to MDOT. [Woodmont, MD]

As of 7:11 a.m., the northbound-shoulder and left turn lane on MD-190 South from River Road to Ridgefield Road are closed, according to MDOT. [Woodmont, MD]

As of 7:11 a.m., the northbound-right shoulder on MD-187 North from Wisconsin Avenue to Woodmont Avenue is closed, according to MDOT. [Lone Oak, MD]

As of 7:11 a.m., the northbound-right shoulder and right traffic lane on MD-187 North between Glenwood Road and Lincoln Street are closed, according to MDOT. [Woodmont, MD]

As of 7:10 a.m., the westbound-left shoulder of I-70 West at US-40 Alternate is closed due to a collision, according to MDOT. [Funkstown, MD]

As of 7:02 a.m., the northbound-right shoulder and right traffic lane on I-95 North past the exit for MD-43/White Marsh Boulevard are closed, according to MDOT. [White Marsh, MD]

As of 6:50 a.m., the westbound-right traffic lane and right shoulder of MD-190 West to Braeburn Parkway to Wilson Lane are closed, according to MDOT. [Woodmont, MD]

As of 6:50 a.m., the left shoulder on the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway/I-95 from Forestville Road to Pennsylvania Avenue is closed, according to MDOT. [Morningside, MD]

As of 6:50 a.m., both southbound-traffic lanes and shoulder on MD-70 South between Calvert Street and College Avenue are closed, according to MDOT. [Annapolis, MD]

As of 6:50 a.m., the westbound-left traffic lane and left shoulder of US-50 West from Old Ocean Gateway to Rhodesdale Vienna Road are closed, according to MDOT. [Vienna, MD]

As of 6:45 a.m., the left land and right shoulder of northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway after MD-197 are blocked due to a crash, according to WTOP Traffic. [South Laurel, MD]

As of 6:50 a.m., the westbound-right shoulder of MD-140 West between Reese Road and Old Baltimore Road is closed, according to MDOT. [Patapsco, MD]

As of 6:30 a.m., one of the shoulders on northbound Merritt Boulevard at the Outer Loop for the Baltimore Beltway/I-695 is closed due to a crash, according to MDOT. [Sparrows Point, MD]

Ongoing Closures:

Both southbound-traffic lanes on US-1/Alternate South at Selma Avenue are closed due to a utility problem, according to MDOT. [Halethorpe, MD]

Both southbound shoulder of I-395 from Conway Street to Fort McHenry are closed, according to MDOT. [Baltimore, MD]

The northbound shoulder and two right traffic lanes of MD-173 North between Cabot Drive and Marley Neck Boulevard are closed due to utility work, according to MDOT. [Fort Armistead, MD]

Westbound-right off-ramp from MD-725 West at John Rogers Boulevard is closed due to roadwork, according to MDOT. [Upper Marlboro, MD]

The northbound-left shoulder of I-95 North is closed from Weigh Station Access Road to Cherry Hill Road, according to MDOT. [Adelphi, MD]

Eastbound shoulder, traffic lane and center turn lane of MD-648 East between Kuethe Road and Governor Ritchie Highway are closed due to a utility problem, according to MDOT. [Glen Burnie, MD]

Mass Transit

MARC Camden Line Train 847 is experiencing a 15-25 minute delay on Thursday morning, according to MTA. [Washington, DC]

Due to driver shortage, the following Commuter Bus trips will not be operating on Thursday morning: Route 830 - Trip #-9 and Route 640 - Trip #-3, according to MDOT. [Washington, DC]

DC Weather

Thursday starts out with frost and then turns sunny across the Baltimore-Washington region, according to the National Weather Service. The high will be 60 and the low 31.

A freeze warning remains in affect in the Rockville area until 9 a.m., on Thursday, according to the AccuWeather forecast. The skies were clear around 7:40 a.m., with a temperature of 36 degrees.
