Man With Dementia Who Disappeared Reported Dead: Police
The brother of a retired Montgomery County firefighter who was missing for a week was found dead in a wooded area near BWI, police said.

BELTSVILLE, MD — The brother of a retired Montgomery County firefighter who was missing for a week was found dead near Baltimore/Washington International Airport, authorities said.
Daniel Dehaven, 65, suffers from dementia and was last seen at about 11:30 a.m. January 2. He was at a Costco in the 10900 block of Baltimore Ave. in Beltsville, officials said.
Prince George's County Police announced DeHaven was found Tuesday evening in Anne Arundel County. A citizen out for a walk located DeHaven in a wooded area off Dorsey Road, police said.

Anne Arundel County Police said there are no suspicious factors in the death.
Dehaven's disappearance prompted concern due to the frigid conditions in the area last week.

"Along with many assets of the Prince Georges' County Police Department and our partner agencies, we know so many of our residents worked tirelessly to find Mr. DeHaven in the last week. We sincerely thank you," Prince George's County Police said in a statement.
Police will follow up with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine cause and manner of death.
