Man Dies After Being Hit By Car In Rockville: Police

(Updated at 2:30 p.m. Monday): ROCKVILLE, MD — A man died after he was hit by a car while walking in Rockville Saturday night, police said.

The incident occurred at 9:51 p.m. Saturday at 502 Hungerford Dr. The unidentified man was transported to Suburban Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police identified the victim on Monday as Silvano Lemus, 43, of an unconfirmed address.

Police said Lemus was trying to cross the northbound lanes of Hungerford Drive when he was hit by a Lexus 350, driven by Shihping Shih, 66, of Rockville.

Police said Shih remained on the scene. Neither Shih nor his adult female passenger were injured, police said.
