Pants-less Man Wanted In Rockville Sex Assault: Police

Police are searching for a suspect who they said attacked a woman outside of an apartment complex in Rockville.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Police are searching for pants-less man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman outside a Rockville apartment complex last week.

The incident occurred in the 200 block of Rollins Ave. at about 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13. Detectives said the woman was sitting outside talking on her cell phone when the pants-less man approached her.

"The suspect grabbed the victim forcibly by her shirt, and attempted to remove her pants," a police statement said. "The victim fought back and the suspect fled from the scene in an unknown direction."

The victim helped in the creation of a computer-generated composite, police said. The suspect is described by police as an Asian male in his mid 30s, standing at about 5'7" with a "husky build."

He has a broad face with a wide jawline, acne on his cheeks, black hair and brown eyes. The suspect was wearing a tan baseball cap, a tan T-shirt and was not wearing pants, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident or the suspect to call the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5050. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspect.
