• City of Rockville Reminds Businesses and Residents of Plastic Bag Ban (mocoshow.com) — Rockville shoppers and businesses now face a major change: most plastic carryout bags are banned in the city as of Jan. 1, and paper bags will cost 10 cents each. The law mirrors Montgomery County’s “Bring Your Own Bag” rules, with exemptions for groceries, pharmacies, restaurants, and customers using SNAP, WIC, or other approved food assistance benefits.
