Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In Rockville
Authorities said the collision happened near the intersection of Frederick Road and Indianola Drive in Rockville.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A man is dead and another person was arrested following a hit-and-run collision in Rockville, authorities said.
According to Montgomery County police, officers responded to an area near the intersection of Frederick Road and Indianola Drive in Rockville around 12:50 a.m. Wednesday after receiving a call about a pedestrian who was struck by the driver of a white Honda Accord.
The driver fled following the collision, police said.

The male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not provide additional details about what led up to the crash.
The driver of the Honda was quickly located and taken into custody in the area of Frederick and Shady Grove Roads, police said.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash. More information will be released, including the victim's name, following notification of family.
