Pike’s Peek 10K Race Closes Parts of Rockville Pike Sunday

Organizers: Plan ahead if you have to travel anywhere near the Kaiser Permanente Pike's Peek 10K race route

Portions of Rockville Pike will be closed from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Sunday, to accommodate runners in the Kaiser Permanente Pike’s Peek 10K race.

According to organizers:

Runners will have full use of the northbound-side of Rockville Pike until Gude Drive.
Past Gude, runners will use the two northbound median lanes.
The southbound traffic will remain open, but streets travelling east and west on Rockville Pike will not be accessible.

The race begins at Shady Grove Metro and ends at White Flint Mall and attracts more than 3,000 entrants.
