Police Investigate Fatal 2-Car Crash In Rockville
An elderly Silver Spring woman died in a two-vehicle collision in Rockville Monday afternoon, police said.

ROCKVILLE, MD — An elderly Silver Spring woman died in a collision in Rockville Monday afternoon, Montgomery County Police announced.
The two-vehicle crash occurred on Randolph Road at Rocking Horse Road at about 1:36 p.m.
Sylvia Jones, 81, was transported to a local hospital where she later died, police said.

Preliminary investigation reveals that Jones was driving a 2005 Honda Civic and was making a left turn from westbound Randolph Road onto southbound Rocking Horse Road.

The Honda was struck by a 2009 Acura TSX — driven by an 18-year-old from Silver Spring — who had been traveling eastbound on Randolph Road.
The 18-year-old driver and 16-year-old female passenger, also from Silver Spring, were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
