Police Seek Missing Montgomery County Teenager Last Seen Saturday

Kayla Mae Santmyer, 17, resides in a group home in Derwood and was last seen by caretakers Saturday. She is unfamiliar with the area.

DERWOOD, MD — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing teenager who was last seen in Derwood on Saturday.

Kayla Mae Santmyer, 17, resides in a group home in the 17700 block Lisa Dr. She was last seen by caretakers on Saturday, police said.

Family reported that Santmyer is unfamiliar with the area. Police and family are concerned for Santmyer’s welfare.

Santmyer is described by police as a white female, 5’1” and weighs about 150 pounds. She has long brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a blue leather jacket.
