Report: Rockville Company Gets $59 Million Contract to Expand Arlington Cemetery

A Rockville company received a $59 million contract to increase burial space at Arlington National Cemetery, The Gazette reports.

Forrester Construction will develop 27 acres for the Millennium Project, The Gazette reports.

The plans to expand were criticized because they called for removing 900 trees, but the Army Corps of Engineers said it planned to protect certain trees and plant 800 more—in addition to 1,000 shrubs and tree seedlings, according to The Gazette.
