Roads Reopen On Maryland I-270 After Trash Truck Crash

The Shady Grove Road Exit ramp is now open as of 11:30 a.m., officials said.

(Updated at 11:35 a.m.): ROCKVILLE, MD — A trash truck crash caused delays on Interstate 270 near Rockville Tuesday morning, officials said.

The truck overturned on it's side in a crash on the Shady Grove Road exit ramp at Omega Drive, spokesperson Pete Piringer said.

The off ramp reopened as of 11:30 a.m. Motorists are asked to drive carefully in the area.

EMS is evaluating and the injuries appear non-life-threatening, Piringer told Patch.
