Robert E. Dawson Assumes Role As Rockville's City Attorney

ROCKVILLE, MD — Robert E. Dawson has officially assumed the role of Rockville's city attorney, officials confirmed Wednesday.

"As of March 2022 Robert E. Dawson has been admitted to the Maryland Bar," the city posted to Facebook.

Last year, Rockville Mayor Bridget Newton and city council appointed Dawson as the city’s corporate counsel.

Dawson, who has more than two decades’ experience in the legal field, most recently served as a senior assistant county attorney to Arlington County, the city said.

According to the city, for the past 17 years, Dawson has advised and counseled various government entities that include boards of supervisors, city councils, regional authorities and economic development authorities.
