Rockville City Police: Thieves Nab 300 Cigarettes, 14 Cases of Soda, Bag of Candy

Arrests

1100 block of Maple Avenue—A 32-year-old man was arrested for aggravated assault at 5:30 a.m. Aug. 25.

300 block of Hungerford Drive—A 52-year-old man was arrested for trespassing 10 a.m. Aug. 30.

Incidents

1600 block of E. Jefferson Street—A vacant apartment was broken into through an unlocked balcony window into a vacant apartment between noon April 1 and 9:15 a.m. Aug. 28 9:17 a.m.  Nothing was taken. 

Unit block of Ritchfield Court—A necklace, bicycle and iPod were reported missing after a party at the residence between 8 p.m. Aug. 10 and 9:10 p.m. Aug. 18.

500 block of Hungerford Drive—A purse, cash and a laptop were taking from a locked vehicle on Aug. 26. 

1900 block of Rockville Pike—Three packs of 100 cigarettes were taken from a business 7 p.m. Aug. 26. Police are looking for a white male, 5-feet 10-inches, short brown hair, and a goatee who was last seen wearing tan khaki pants, a short-sleeve shirt and black sunglasses. 

300 block of Hungerford Drive—Three cartons of cigarettes were taken from a business between 4 and 4:15 p.m. Aug. 27. Police are looking for a black female, between 35 and 40 years old with a medium skin tone and heavy build. The female was last seen wearing a black tank top with a white T-shirt underneath, black pants, white socks and black sandals with a black-strapped bag. 

Unit block of Mannakee Street—A back pack was taken from a hallway outside the college bookstore Aug. 28, between 2 and 2:25 p.m. Police are looking for three people: 

• A black male with a muscular build, black dreadlocks/twists, dark skin tone. Last seen wearing a black backpack, white shoes, dark blue jeans, white T-shirt, red baseball cap
• A black male with a thin build, black hair, mustache, dark skin tone. Last seen wearing a black backpack, black shoes, black T-shirt, dark blue jeans, multicolored jacket 
• A white male with a thin build, short brown hair, facial stubble, light skin tone. Last seen wearing a black backpack, black shoes, blue jeans (rolled up to the tops of his shoes), multicolored shirt.

Unit block of East Argyle Street—An iPod was taken from a vehicle between 8 p.m. Aug. 28 and 11:17 a.m. Sept. 2.

700 block of Carter Road—A residence was broken into, accessed by a broken a window pane on a kitchen door Aug. 28, between 9 and 11:50 p.m.  No entry was made.

1000 block of Debeck Drive—Electronics and jewelry were taken from a residence between 11 p.m. Aug. 28 and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 29. Police said the residence was accessed through a broken lock on a rear kitchen door.

600 block of Hungerford Drive—Police said 14 cases of soda and a bag of candy from were taken from a store at around 8 a.m. Aug. 29. Police described the thief as a black male, approximately 40 years old, 5-feet three-inches and 170 pounds; police said the male had a medium build, medium skin tone and was bald. He was last seen wearing blue shorts and a black T-shirt with white sleeves and drove off in a black Dodge Avenger with Maryland plates. 

1000 block of Rockville Pike—Cash was taken from a vehicle Aug. 29, between 1 and 7:30 p.m.
