Rockville Man Accused Of Raping Child, Police Seek Additional Victims
Wilmer Alvarado-Gomez, 37, was arrested Saturday and charged with two counts of rape, Montgomery County police said.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A Rockville man is facing charges after authorities said he sexually assaulted a young child and sent the victim explicit photos of himself.
Wilmer Alvarado-Gomez, 37, was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree rape without consent of a child under 13 and second-degree rape of a child under 14, Montgomery County police said in a news release.
According to police, Alvarado-Gomez assaulted the child last week near Parkland Drive in Rockville. Police said he also sent sexually explicit photos to the victim.

Investigators issued a warrant for Alvarado-Gomez's arrest the following day. He is currently held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
Investigators said they believe there may be additional victims connected to Alvarado-Gomez. Anyone with information or who may have been victimized by Alvarado-Gomez should contact the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400.
