Rockville Student Graduates With Honors From McDaniel College In MD

Isabela Barbara Hernandez Quintana was recognized for her academic achievements at McDaniel College's 153rd Commencement in Westminster.

ROCKVILLE, MD — McDaniel College conducted it 153rd Commencement at its campus in Westminster, handing out 368 bachelor degrees and awards recognizing exceptional student achievements, according Merit News.

One of those award-winners was Isabela Barbara Hernandez Quintana of Rockville, who graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree self-designed French studies and political science. To achieve magna cum laude status, she had to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.70 to 3.89.

In addition to being Phi Beta Kappa, a college scholar, a global fellow and a national security fellow, Hernandez Quintana earned honors in student-designed French Studies and received The Frank and Margaret Malone Award for Excellence in a Foreign Language.

For her steadying loyalty to her classmates through her participation in campus life and the contributions she made toward the betterment of the college, Hernandez Quintana also received The Alumni Citizenship Award.
