Sobriety Checkpoints Target Drunk Drivers Friday Night in Montgomery County

Montgomery County Police warn that drivers should choose a sober driver tonight, Sept. 22, when two sobriety checkpoints will operate.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — As police across the area continue to fight drunk drivers, the Montgomery County Police Department will conduct two sobriety checkpoints throughout the county Friday night.

The exact location of the checkpoint will not be disclosed in advance, say authorities.

This enforcement is a component of the Department’s continuing effort to curb impaired driving and underage drinking. Police remind residents to have a plan, drive responsibly and choose a sober driver.
