ROCKVILLE, MD — If you're considering the switch to solar energy, attend the city's information session on a solar panel co-op this week.

In the solar co-op everyone has their own contract with the solar panel installer, but each person gets a group discount. There are two kinds of installations: roof solar and electric vehicle charging.

"By working with a local non-profit and community partners, the solar co-op helps residents better understand the process of going solar and leverages group buying power to get a discount off the installations," said the City of Rockville news release.
