Thieves Break Into Car, Use Stolen Credit Cards At 7-Eleven
Police are searching for two suspects who stole credit cards from an unlocked car in Rockville and used them at a 7-Eleven in Gaithersburg.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Police are searching for two suspects who stole credit cards and a checkbook from an unlocked car in Rockville and used them at a 7-Eleven in Gaithersburg.
The victim told police she parked her car at a home in the 4200 block of Flower Valley Dr. on the evening of Dec. 11. She returned to her car the next morning and found it had been ransacked.
Investigation determined that the suspects used that stolen credit card at a 7-Eleven on Professional Drive in Gaithersburg at about 4:30 a.m. Dec. 12. The two suspects were captured on store video surveillance.

Detectives are looking into the possibility that the suspects may be involved in other theft from autos in the area, police said. Thefts from unlocked cars continue to be a high-volume crime in Montgomery County, police said. Police urge all residents to remove valuables from their cars and lock all doors.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided that leads to an arrest in this case.
