Woman Found Dead In Pond In Montgomery County
An active death investigation has been launched to determine what caused the death of a woman found in a pond in Burtonsville, police say.
BURTONSVILLE, MD — A woman was found dead in a pond in Burtonsville as icy cold temperatures grip the region Wednesday afternoon, Montgomery County police said.
Police were called for a report of a suspicious situation at a pond behind the 14200 block of Ballinger Terrace at about 3:39 p.m.
Officers located the remains of an adult female in the pond, police said. An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine the cause of death.
