1 Killed, 2 Injured In Crash In Silver Spring

Police said a 4-year-old child was among those injured in the Friday morning crash.

SILVER SPRING, MD — One person is dead and two others were hospitalized following a two-car crash in Silver Spring on Friday.

According to Montgomery County police, the crash occurred shortly after 9 a.m. near Good Hope Road and Good Hope Drive.

Police said a black Acura RDX was traveling westbound when it crossed the center lane and struck an eastbound Ford F-150.

When first responders arrived, they found the driver of the Acura in cardiac arrest. Despite lifesaving efforts, the person was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release the victim's name pending notification of family.

The adult male driver of the Ford and a 4-year-old child were taken to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
