1 Seriously Wounded In Silver Spring Christmas Shooting: Police
A man was critically injured on Christmas Day when he was shot by a masked man near a 7-Eleven store in Silver Spring, police said.
SILVER SPRING, MD — A man was critically injured in a shooting Christmas evening near a 7-Eleven store in the 800 block of University Boulevard East in Silver Spring, authorities said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, Montgomery County Police said on social media. No suspect is in custody, and police have not said if they have a suspect in the assault.
MoCo360 reported that someone who called 911 told dispatchers the suspected shooter was a man wearing black clothing and a ski mask. Police found the victim, who was not alert but breathing, in an apartment building at 802 University Blvd. East, according to radio transmissions, the news site reported.

About 6:45 p.m., police radio traffic said one or more suspects may have run farther into the apartment building. Soon after, a woman at the scene told police the suspect had left the apartment on foot.
