• Man crashes car into Silver Spring supermarket (wtop.com) — A driver crashed into the Giant Food store in Silver Spring’s Leisure World community on Sunday, sending him to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but leaving the store open. Firefighters say the car hit an emergency exit near the front, and building inspectors were notified to check for structural issues. Shoppers can still access the store while officials review the damage.
