2 Fitness Studios Opening In Downtown Silver Spring Apartment Complex

SILVER SPRING, MD — Two boutique fitness studios are opening at a residential community in downtown Silver Spring, according to a press release. Orangetheory Fitness and Pure Barre have signed leases in the apartment complex Central, located at 8455 Fenton St.

Pure Barre will open a 1,200-square-foot studio in Central, while Orangetheory has signed a lease for a studio over 3,800 square feet. Both studios are set to open in early 2018, according to the press release.

“Our goal is to provide to the local community an eclectic group of retailers that bring energy and excitement to Silver Spring,” Jon Carr, Grosvenor Senior Vice President, said in a statement. “Pure Barre and Orangetheory Fitness are two of the most popular fitness experiences in the country and we are looking forward to our new partnership with these franchises which complement each other in support of health and wellness.”

Central is located right across the street from the new Silver Spring Library. Set to open in the next month, the apartment complex is a LEED Silver mixed-use property that will have 243 apartments and over 15,000 square feet of ground floor retail space.

The complex will offer a mix of modern studio, one- and two-bedroom apartment homes. Residents can enjoy amenities including a pool, sundeck, entertainment lounge, 24-hour fitness center, pet-spa and a 24/7 concierge.

“We set merchandising goals over a year ago when kicking off our leasing process and are extremely excited about our first two leases," Brad Buslik of H&R Retail said, who is representing Grosvenor for retail leasing at Central. "Pure Barre and Orange Theory are both first class operators who help set the tone for the retail experience to be offered at Central."
