Good morning, Silver Spring! Here are five things to know this Monday to help you keep up-to-date about what’s going on in the community:
1. Expect a sunny day, with temperatures in the 50s, according to the National Weather Service. Later on tonight, the skies should get cloudy, with temperatures in the high 30s.

3. The Commercial and Economic Development committee is hosting a meeting to plan for the upcoming Taste the World in Fenton Village event. The meeting starts tonight at 7 p.m. inside of the Silver Spring Civic Center located at One Veterans Place.
4. County Executive Isiah Leggett is looking for three new members to sit on the Commission on Landlord Tenant Affairs board. The fifteen-member commission hears landlord-tenant disputes. The deadline to apply is December 30, 2011.
