Good morning, Silver Spring! Here are five things to know this Wednesday to help you keep up-to-date about what’s going on in the community:

1. Expect a sunny day, with temperatures reaching a high of 40 degrees, according to the National Weather Service

2.  The Silver Spring Town Center needs volunteers. They have a full program this year with "An Evening with the Stars" on Oscars Night, their Blues Festival in June, and Upscale Yard Sale on the Plaza. If you are interested, please call 240.595.8858 or email lisa@silverspringtowncenter.

3. There is still time to sign up for the 6th Annual Washington Gardener Photo Contest in the community. Anyone can enter: professional or amateur, adult or student, local area gardener or visiting DC tourist.

4. Whole Foods Market is hosting an in-store tasting at noon. The samples vary from cheeses, fresh seafood, and salad from the deli.
