Good morning, Silver Spring! Here are five things to know this Wednesday, to help you keep up-to-date about what’s going on in the community:
1. Expect showers and a possible thunderstorm later today, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures may rise to a high near 62. Later on this evening, showers are likely to continue with temperatures dropping to the mid 40s.
2. If you missed it, the 4th annual Taste of Silver Spring will have over 20 restaurants ready to give you a sample of what downtown has to offer. Reservations are required. The event starts 5:30 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m.

3. County Executive Ike Leggett is set to host a virtual town hall meeting from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Join the discussion. Meanwhile, later this evening Safe Silver Spring hosts a meeting about truancy programs at the Long Branch Community Center located at 8700 Piney Branch Rd.
