9-11 Remembrance, Jazz Festival, Redskins Preview

This week, the news was dominated by the Silver Spring Jazz Festival, sports highlights and remembering the victims and families of the 9/11 tragedy.
1. The Jazz Festival was a blast with artists from Neville to The Chopteeth Afrofunk Big Band who came out to perform. Music is always a great way to get people together. If you missed the show don't fret. Check out the story and photo gallery: Downtown Silver Spring's Jazz Festival.
2. Remembering 9/11 was not only a priority for some Americans but for tourists who visited the nation's capital. Many people feared that the Florida Pastor Terry Jones would burn the Quran on this day, but instead he agreed to a meeting with the imam instead. Read about remembering 9/11 on TBD (Remembering 911) and AOL News (Michelle Obama and Laura Bush United at Flight 93 Crash Site).
