Amazon Fresh Opens Fourth Store In MoCo

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County's fourth Amazon Fresh store opened Thursday, March 27, at 12263 Prosperity Drive in Silver Spring. It's the fifth store location in Maryland.

Store hours will be from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

The company also has two locations in Chevy Chase, at 5463 Wisconsin Ave. and 8525 Chevy Chase Lake Terrace, as well as a store at 15790 Shady Grove Road, Gaithersburg.

“We’re thrilled to open our newest Amazon Fresh grocery store right here in the heart of Silver Spring. This opening invites customers in Maryland to experience grocery shopping with Amazon Fresh, both in-store and online," said Doug Chamberlin, regional manager for Amazon Fresh. "We’re excited for customers to see our wide selection of national brands, high-quality produce, and curated array of their favorite local items and fresh-prepared meals. Our team is proud to continue expanding in the Greater Washington D.C. area and build new relationships with our customers and important local organizations in the area like Capital Area Food Bank.”

The store will donate surplus food to the food bank, the company said.

Offerings include prepared foods made fresh in store daily, plus a dedicated department offering crackers, cheeses, and charcuterie from local and national brands and a selection of international flavors with condiments and sauces from around the world. Customers will also find grab and go sandwiches, salads, wraps, and snack boxes, along with grab take-and-bake pizzas, ready-to-heat burritos, and ready-made meals.

Customers will find more than 35 regional brands and favorites at the Silver Spring Amazon Fresh store including Tessemae's condiments, Smithfield, and True Made Foods.

Shoppers can take advantage of fast grocery delivery and pickup options, while also enjoying ways to make grocery shopping in store more convenient, like the Amazon Dash Cart and Amazon One.

Prime members can save on more grocery items from Amazon Fresh, which in late 2024 said it expanded its Prime savings program on over 3,000 grocery items for members, including up to 50% off on eight to 15 grocery favorites that rotate each week, including fresh produce, protein, and pantry staples.
