Boy, 14, Reported Missing In Silver Spring

Montgomery County Police detectives are asking for the public's help to find Carlos Manuel Castro-Perez, a 14-year-old from Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A 14-year-old boy was reported missing in Silver Spring and Montgomery County Police detectives are asking for the public's help to find him.

Carlos Manuel Castro-Perez was last seen at 5 a.m. Friday, May 20, on the 2300 block of Blueridge Avenue, police said.

Carlos is 5-foot-3, and has black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a gold necklace, a dark gray t-shirt, jeans and white and blue Nike sneakers when he was last seen, police said. A police news release says Carlos was carrying a black and gray backpack.

Carlos' family is worried for his wellbeing, and detectives are asking anyone with information to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line) or the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400.
