Business Owner Charged With Multiple Counts Of Assault: Police
A business owner faces more than a dozen counts of assault. Montgomery County Police believe there are more victims.
SILVER SPRING, MD — A business owner faces more than a dozen counts of assault, along with sex offense charges, after Montgomery County Police said he inappropriately touched people at his bakery.

Members of the Fourth District – Patrol Investigations Unit received reports from several victims who alleged they were inappropriately touched by Mendoza at the bakery. Following an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Mendoza on July 18.
He has been charged with 13 counts of second-degree assault, two counts of fourth-degree sex offense – sexual contact and one count of fourth-degree sex offense by a person in a position of authority.

According to online court records, Mendoza was arrested on July 26, and posted an unsecured personal bond on July 29 to be released from custody.
