Chevy Chase Author Leads Talk on ISIS and Counterterrorism
Aki Peritz, a local resident and co-author of a book about Al Qaeda, will lead a discussion at the Town Hall next week.
In an event scheduled for Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Chevy Chase Town Hall, town resident and author Aki Pertiz will discuss some of the key developments of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS.
Pertiz will answer questions like how ISIS first gained the world’s attention, what the organization wishes to achieve, and if we should be concerned.
Dessert and snacks will be served following the discussion.
