• Grants awarded to improve mobility for adults and disabled persons (mymcmedia.org) — Silver Spring seniors and residents with disabilities will soon see better local transportation, with major grants funding Easter Seals services and a new free transit system at Leisure World. Additional awards across Montgomery County will add accessible vehicles, improve bus stops, and expand ride and travel-training programs that connect people to medical care, shopping, and social activities.
