• So many businesses are moving around downtown, how do you keep up? Here's the scoop! The property manager of downtown Silver Spring told Patch about six businesses have moved, will move or plan to open up this year. CakeLove moved earlier this year and offers more at their Fenton Street location, desert shop FrozenYo is going to move into Cakelove's previous location on Ellsworth Drive, CVS prepares to move in across from Whole Foods later in 2011, ArtSpring prepares to move above Austin Grill, Impact Silver Spring moves to CityPlace Mall until their new location is open and Family Dry Cleaners recently relocated to Fenton Street next to Washington Sports Club.

• Prepare to get your groove on Thursday with Groove Jet, a contemporary, Latin feel, funky jazz quintet, based in Silver Spring. They can cover everything from Miles Davis to Herbie Hancock. They are set to jam at 7 p.m. on the Silver Spring Veterans Plaza across from The Majestic movie theater.
