- Library supporters filled the County Council hearing to speak out about possible funding cuts. The room filled to capacity and they almost didn't let Patch in. Needless to say, we got the story! Supporters came out to testify that if the four library are reclassified as neighborhood libraries then that means more cuts on services the community needs.
- The Ghandi Brigade is hard at work trying to reach people who want to submit a film for "Just Us Youth " media festival. This year the festival will feature official screenings of winning work (which could be you!), live youth performances, hands-on media workshops and more.
- @Foodtruck Fiesta sent out a message on twitter inviting people to a food truck party next Tuesday in Silver Spring, probably around 8455 Colesville Rd. Your more than welcome to join! So far, @SUBBros, @LadyPanda, and @mattdozier may be coming to the food truck party.
- Free food and lunch at the AFI theater. D.C. filmmaker Jason Baustin will be screening his short film Gone Forever which is a psychological drama of haunted horror.
