Downtown Silver Spring Stabbing Leaves One Man Dead: Police
A 19-year-old died after being stabbed in Silver Spring on Tuesday. Police say an 18-year-old was also injured.
SILVER SPRING, MD — A 19-year-old died after he was stabbed in Silver Spring Tuesday morning, Montgomery County Police said.
Officers responded to a call about a stabbing around 11:30 a.m. on the 900 block of Ellsworth Drive. They first found an 18-year-old with lacerations to the arms and hands, who told the officers that he had been in an altercation with another man who had gone toward Fenton Street.
Officers then got another call for a stabbing on Fenton Street, where they found the 19-year-old who had been stabbed in the chest. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and did not say if there have been any arrests. The name of the man who died will be released when his family is properly notified.
