Editor's Pick: Weekend Events

Every weekend is extremely live in Downtown Silver Spring. From the year-round farmers' market, to jazz concerts and pooch pool parties there is never a dull moment. This weekend I have a few events I think  are interesting:

1. Going out with family and spending quality time  is surely relaxing. If your looking for an event this weekend for the family, Borders Books and Music, located on 8518 Fenton St, Silver Spring, MD 20910, is hosting "The Cat in the Hat." An event for pre-schoolers. 2. Staying fit and looking good is very important in life. This weekend you can go to the Health Expo inside of City Place Mall. They will have brochures and health fitness advice.  You can find more information in this link Annual Health & Fitness Expo Comes to City Place Mall.

3. Try something new. My family is originally from the Haiti and the Bahamas. Living in Silver Spring offers me so many different foods and festivals from cultures I wasn't exposed to growing up in the Bahamas. This Saturday, there will be an Ukrainian Festival with food, music and live entertainment.
