Eisa Gouredou, a Silver Spring resident and member of the Maryland Writers Association, is preparing her debut novel, In the Shadow of Dreams. The story, set in Miami, follows two young French women chasing their American dream. While the book is not yet published, Eisa is a local creative voice whose story could make a compelling feature for Patch, highlighting the vibrant arts and literary talent in our community.

Bikes for the World will collect bikes at Whole foods this Saturday, March 24 between 10 and 2 pm.  They rehab and donate the bikes. They ask for a minimum $10 donation for each bike donated to pay for parts so they can repair  them properly (ie chains, seats, tubes, brakes).  Contact Yvette at 703.740.7856.
