Husband Struck Wife With Lexus SUV Several Times: Police

SILVER SPRING, MD — A Silver Spring man is facing charges of first-degree murder in the death of his wife, 59-year-old Alka Himanshu Tanna.

Montgomery County Police say that Himanshu Maganlal Tanna, also 59, hit his wife multiple times with a white Lexus SUV as she crossed the parking lot of the Capital One bank on the 13000 block of New Hampshire Avenue on Friday afternoon.

Himanshu Maganlal Tanna then drove the SUV into a telephone pole and was unable to drive away, police said in a news release. He was arrested brought to the Central Processing Unit. He is being held without bond, police said.

The investigation is still active and ongoing.
